Our purpose
Volunteer Programs Forever is a private recognized foundation operating under Belgian law, and working on international projects with a worldwide community.
Volunteer Programs Forever was founded by the Belgian Kimberley Vanderheyden in 2015.
The purpose of the Foundation shall be to directly and/or indirectly provide assistance to developing countries and more specifically to contribute to the education, personal development, future prospects and the place in society of underprivileged and/or disabled communities, focusing mainly on educating these communities.
The purpose of the Foundation shall also be to directly and/or indirectly support and develop the non-profit association Volunteer Programs Bali, a non-profit association duly constituted and validly existing under the laws of Indonesia.
Activities
To achieve its purpose, the Foundation may perform and develop, alone or in collaboration with third parties such as the Founder, directly or indirectly, all activities related, directly or indirectly to its purpose, including, but not limited to:
- Participate in European Union or other public authorities programs, calls for proposals, tenders, etc. of the European Union, national, federal or local governments or other public and semi-public authorities, and in general to apply for grants from the European Union, national governments or other public and semi-public authorities;
- Accredit, establish and maintain close contacts with, operate with, cooperate with, and assist legal entities, initiatives and/or organisations having a non-profit purpose similar or identical to the purpose of the Foundation, as well as other regional and/or international legal entities, initiatives and/or organisations, including Africa, Asia and other parts of the world;
- Undertake alone or with others joint activities as partner or in any other capacity with the European Union institutions, national, federal or local governments, or other public and semi-public authorities and private corporations and organizations;
- Provide free education to underprivileged and/or disabled children;
- Prepare and inform underprivileged children on future professions ;
- Organize activities for underprivileged and/or disabled children in order to increase their personal, cultural and social awareness;
- Build and/or renovate buildings serving the development of the underprivileged and/or disabled communities;
- Mobilize resources from the public, semi-public, private, and philanthropic sectors;
- Organize and arrange congresses, seminars and other programs and convenings;
- Issue publications;
- Involve caretakers, governments and community decision-makers in all activities of the Foundation;
- Receive donations, legacies, sponsoring and/or subsidies in the most broad sense in Belgium and/or abroad in order to finance the Foundation and/or Volunteer Programs Bali, and/or other legal entities and/or organisations having a non-profit purpose similar or identical to the purpose of the Foundation; and
- Transfer/provide funds, means, assistance, etc. to Volunteer Programs Bali, and/or other legal entities and/or organisations having a non-profit purpose similar or identical to the purpose of the Foundation.
In addition, the Foundation may support and have interests in any other activities which are similar, identical or related to those defined above. The Foundation shall perform and develop its activities in Belgium as well as abroad and can be a member of or incorporate other non-profit legal entities having a purpose similar or identical to the one of the Foundation.
Tax refund
Volunteer Programs Forever is a recognized private foundation and therefore eligible for tax refund.
Donations in cash to approved institutions entitle donors to tax benefits, for personal or corporate income tax purposes, provided they amount to at least EUR 40 and can be substantiated by receipts from the beneficiaries (Article 107, Code of Income Taxes).
Individual donors are entitled yearly to a tax reduction of 45% of the amount of their donations up to a maximum of the lower of 10% of their globally taxable income, or EUR 376,35 (Article 145/33, Code of Income Taxes).
Corporate donors can deduct the amount of their donations up to the lower of 5% of their gross revenue, or EUR 500,000 (Article 200, Code of Income Taxes).
Donations of 40 euros or more made to the foundation give rise to a tax reduction of 60% of the amount actually paid and stated on the certificate.
The fiscal receipt for all your donations to the foundation will be sent to you at the end of February/March of the following year.
